As President-Elect of the SDSU Business Alumni Network (BAN)
it is my sincere pleasure to invite you to this important event.

HOW TO INTERVIEW, PITCH & PRESENT
FOR BUSINESS SUCCESS

Part I: Seminar Announcement

San Diego State University Business Alumni Network
Professional Development & Networking Seminar

April 27, 2001  |  6:00 - 8:30 PM  |  SDSU Alumni Center

To be successful, people must be able to enter a situation and create an impression that leads to the results they desire. Just as situations may vary, so do techniques of impression management.

Mark Stadwiser, BAN Vice-President for Professional Development has invited panelists Keith Harris, Marisa Valbona, and Mark Dewey to reveal how business professionals can get the best possible outcomes whether they are conversing with a boss, networking with a potential client, presenting a proposal, or sitting for a job interview.

The event includes a networking session with free hors d'oeuvre from 6:00 to 7:00.

Keith Harris is a top recruiter for Google. As an expert on the interview process, he will bring new light to what works and what doesn't in this current economy.

Marisa Valbona, President of CIM Inc., is an award-winning public relations counselor with extensive expertise delivering persuasive presentations to companies large and small. She will cover the best ways people can present themselves in any new business or networking situation.

Mark Dewey, currently with Ventiquity, has an impressive background in entrepreneurship, angel Investing and venture capital. His knowledge of pitching covers both sides of the table. That makes him a great resource for insights on how to make winning sales presentations.

Branding strategy consultant Jen Martino, principal at Project X Media, will moderate the event. Her unique experience as both an expert in brand positioning and a TV and film actress give her a special perspective on which to base incisive questions and comments regarding the most effective techniques of self-presentation.

Regular registration is $30.00 ($25.00 for BAN members; $19.00 for SDSU students).

As far as I'm concerned, getting all this information plus great networking and delicious hors d'oeuvre for only $30.00 is a great deal!

I'm calling this is a 'don't miss' opportunity for everyone who wants to know how to make a successful business impression any time, every time.

Location: Parma Jayne Goodall Alumni Center on the SDSU campus across from Viejas Arena on 55th Street at 1897 Aztec Walk. Free parking will be available in Parking Structure 5, adjacent to the alumni center.

For registration and further information contact Diane Barragan at alumnichapters@sdsu.edu or 619-594-2586 or Mark Stadwiser at 619-501-8353. Online registration is available at http://chapters.sdsu/business.

RSVP by April 23.
