COURAGE AND PERSEVERANCE
The simplist things in life are often the most powerful.
The most powerful truths in life are always simple.
From time to time we are all beset with troubles which oppress, distress, and depress us.
If we choose to collapse ourselves into them, then we are lost without hope.
There is a very simple, powerful way to move beyond them instead.
It is to embody two powerful qualities: courage and perserverance.
At the heart of the word courage there lies the heart itself (French cour = heart in English).
And at the heart of perserverance we find per (Latin, by means of) and sever, an abbreviated form of separate (Latin, se, apart + parare, to prepare, to make ready in advance).
We are able to outlast the troubles which oppress, distress, and depress us by separating ourselves from them - and from anxious worry about them - while we take heart in the search for solutions.
Solutions are not always found in a single search.
We must keep searching until we find them.
We are best prepared to act with courage and perseverance when we remember this simple and powerful truth:
We have to outlast what hurts Until we find what works.
It is a good idea to write that down and keep it where it can easily be seen from time to time.
It should be kept close to the heart, as well.
We are thus made ready in advance to deal successfully with whatever arises.
